What is Cambridge O Levels Qualification


Introduction:

Cambridge O Level qualification is an internationally recognized qualification which is equivalent to Cambridge IGCSE and the UK GCSE. 

Cambridge O Level qualification provides learners or students with excellent preparation for Cambridge Advanced as well as other progression rules.

Recognition:

Cambridge O Level leads to internationally recognized qualification offered in different universities and it is accepted by employers worldwide, as an evidence of academic ability.

Many universities worldwide require a combination of Cambridge International As and  A Levels and Cambridge O Levels to meet their entry route requirements.

Leading US and Canadian universities require Cambridge International As and A Levels, but some US and Canadian colleges and universities will accept learners with five Cambridge O levels at grade C or above. 

Students are advised to see the policies of each university or college for actual requirements.

In the UK Cambridge O Level is recognized as GCSE equivalent.

O Level Curriculum:

Cambridge O Level curriculum is designed in such a way that it emphasis on the development of creative thinking, problem solving and inquiry.

Students are provided with the syllabuses for every subject with Text books and publisher resources.

O Level Examinations

Examinations of Cambridge O Level occurs twice a year in the months of June and November and results are announced in August and January. 

Assessment takes place at the end of the course and includes written, oral and practical examinations. 

Grade are bench marked using  six internationally recognized grades from A* to E which shows the achievement in particular subject.

Past papers with mark scheme is available along with examiner report, which can be downloaded by the students from the CIE website. 


International Audience:

Cambridge O Level is designed for International audience and it is sensitive to the needs of different countries and for learners whose first language may not be English.
